Hello Yarnies! <3

Well, we made it! After months and months of hard work and crafty dedication, we arrived at the end of our beautiful Rainbow Challenge. There were so many incredible makes from so many amazingly talented people, but there were a few that shined above the rest!

Every month for the past seven months, we have been dedicated to one colour. For example, last month was 'pink month' and we challenged our Yarnish Community to make lots of 'pink creations' and upload them to our Facebook 'Challenge Board'. Each month, one lucky winner was drawn and received a $20 in-store credit.

There were seven months, which means seven colours, in total:

Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Purple and Pink

(click on each colour to see our fabulous winners and a few of the entrants' makes from that month!)

In addition, our very own Emma Wilkinson designed a gorgeous blanket inspired by our rainbow challenge. This blanket is absolutely stunning; it uses Cicibebe Sprinkles Yarn and incorporates each colour from our Rainbow Challenge.

You can find the pattern on this blog here, the PDF version here, and kits here

The Ultimate Rainbow Challenge

It's one thing to participate in our Rainbow Challenge, but its another to have the sheer level of grit to upload...Every.Single.Month!!!

Seriously, I knew the Yarnish Community was full of crazy-talented makers (Nicole and Shelby did alert me when I first came on board!) But, really, I had nooooo idea! There have been some Yarnies who have uploaded to every single coloured-month! And not just little quick projects either. I'm talking big, bold, beautiful, time-consuming makes that have been finished and uploaded every month for the past seven months!

So this blog post is dedicated to you guys - the ones who have demonstrated the passion and perseverance for this seven-month-long challenge! Congratulations <3

To help celebrate, Nicole announced a few weeks ago that there will be an Ultimate Rainbow Challenge Prize draw. For those who have entered in every coloured month, they went into a draw for their chance to win a beautiful rainbow collection of the Lion Brand - Crayola Cake Yarn

So who was our lucky winner?

This week on WITB live stream, Shelby 'spun the wheel' and announced this incredible winner.

And the winner is...

*drum roll*

 Congratulations Angie!

Angie used Scheepjes Catona Yarn to create a beautiful Flower Lamp Shade Garland. She is still working on the lights to bring it to life but we absolutely love what she has done so far.

This was a free pattern by Charlotta 'In the Yarn Garden', which you can find here

Here are the other entries who also went in the draw for the Ultimate Rainbow Challenge Prize:

Angela Machut-Brewster

 Jessica de Verinne

Mellanie Jayne

Simone Howes

Debbie Zaslona

Dyanne Bramble

Bec Walsh

We are so impressed by all of you! Although there could only be one official winner, you are all winners in our hearts <3 Congratulations ladies!
