As the Rainbow challenge commences, I thought it would be the perfect time to share some of my favourite red yarns.
RED CHALLENGE runs from the 15th April to 12th May.
Catona - this is the yarn the is in the rainbow kit - 100% mercerised cotton. The are several shades of red in the range #115 - Hot red was chosen for the kit (pictured first below, and in the kit above) a personal favourite of mine is #192 Scarlet. (pictured second)
This yarn was used in the Advent crochet a long, as well in the Wildflower necklace and for Celeste's accessories. A popular choice here at Yarnish!
Milano Cotton Sport MC20 - also 100% cotton, this cotton is extremely versatile and comes in 100 g balls. One shade of red means it won't be hard to choose a shade! 5 mm hook or needles are recommended
La Mia Bamboo L092-100% bamboo yarn. DK/8ply 50g/115 m. A very luxurious soft feel, hypoallergenic, in a bright shade of red, with a lovely sheen.
Our Tribe - Happy in Red - sock yarn - that's not limited to just socks! 70% Superwash merino / 30% Polyamide ,100g(420m) This line of yarn was chosen by the scheepjes bloggers, and of course 'Happy in Red' chose shades of red!
I'm really looking forward to seeing what everyone is doing for the rainbow challenge! I hope that you join in, and maybe I've given you some last minute inspiration!
Emma.
